Community Service/Support – Ghost Out Event-2014/Teen Maze Jefferson County Hospital and Louisville Fire Department (LFD) and Jefferson County SHIPS For YOUTH, Inc. will facilitate the “Ghost Out” events for Driver Safety on the campus of Jefferson Hospital Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 10:00 till 12:00. The purpose of the event is to promote awareness of the dangers of underage drinking, driving while distracted (loud music, eating, or extra passengers) and texting while driving.
Public Safety personnel played a major role in this event. Therefore the community will see multiple public service agencies present at the Hospital during the event. Participating in this event include Fire and Rescue personnel from Louisville Fire Department, Louisville Jr. Firefighters, Louisville Police Department, Emergency Medical Service personnel from Rural Metro and Taylor Funeral Home.
The “Ghost Out” event includes a briefing of the volunteers and a live car crash simulation with one fatality and three injuries. There will be Emergency response from Louisville Police Dept., Louisville Fire and Rescue, Rural Metro EMS and Taylor Funeral Home.
