Kinship Proclamation Photo Op at the Georgia State Capitol

Kinship caregivers and supporters have a special opportunity to celebrate National Kinship Care Month at the Georgia State Capitol.

A Kinship Proclamation Photo Op with Governor Brian Kemp will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Georgia State Capitol, 206 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30334.

Participants should arrive by 9:30 AM.

Everyone attending is encouraged to WEAR YELLOW in recognition of Kinship Care Month.

Kinship program participants who would like to attend should provide their headcount by the close of business on Wednesday, September 16.

Those who have already submitted an RSVP to ChaKevia at DFCS should not submit another RSVP, as organizers are working to avoid duplicate headcounts.
